Generation and Load Interconnection Studies
We perform system feasibility and impact studies for generations including renewables and energy storage system, industrial loads to identify grids reinforcement alternatives per National, Regional, or Transmission System specific requirements.
NERC and Grid Compliance Studies
We conduct annual or periodic transmission system planning studies for compliance with NERC Standards or other Grid Codes, such as, Transmission System Planning Assessment (NERC TPL-001), Remedial Action Scheme (RAS) Evaluation Study (NERC PRC-012), Automatic Under Frequency Load Shedding Study (NERC PRC-006), Under Voltage Load Shedding Study (PRC-010), National Grid SA–TRGC-2025.
Investigative Studies of System Events
We investigate system events in many forms, such as low frequency oscillation in local or inter-area modes leading to generation tripping or system separation, voltage collapse causing cascading power outages, and sub-synchronous resonance or oscillations causing total disconnection of wind or solar farms, or operation with reduced outputs under certain grid conditions.
Modeling of Synchronous Generators, Wind, Solar and BESS, industrial Loads
We are one of renowned experts in the industry for developing RMS and EMT models for IBR-based renewables and BESS, synchronous generating units, rectifier loads, and data centers, and for performing model validations through staged field tests or Phasor Measurement (PMU), etc. We help developers prepare submissions including dynamic models for their sites to go through the grid interconnection process and perform Model Quality Tests (MQT) per system requirements.
HVDC & Special Protection System Studies
We analyze HVDC links, SVC/STATCOM behavior, and SPS logic under simulated faults, outages, and different operating conditions. We perform RTDS Hardware-in-Loop (HIL) testing for protective relays and controllers to confirm their performance and acceptance.
Compliance Services and Supports
We perform NERC MOD-025, MOD-026, and MOD-027 field testing and model validation studies, as well as NERC PRC-005, PRC-019, PRC-024, PRC-025, PRC-026, PRC-027, and PRC-029 review and coordination studies for compliance of generating facilities.
